It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Liz) Touchette (née Derrick). With her family by her side, Liz passed away peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the age of 81, at White Rock Melville Hospice.
Liz worked tirelessly at Seven Oaks and Grace Hospitals, where she touched countless lives with her gentle spirit and left behind a legacy of dedicated care and lifelong workplace friendships.
Liz's greatest joy was her family, and friends. She leaves behind her daughter Jacqui, son Bernie (Karen); sisters, Linda (John), Jane (Guy), and brother Bob (Maryanna), and her cat Hildy.
Always ready with love and wisdom, her absence leaves a massive void. We take comfort knowing she is now free of pain and at peace, dancing among the stars.
A private cremation has taken place in British Columbia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Vokra Animal Rescue, the Winnipeg Humane Society, or the Canadian Cancer Society in Liz's memory.
